Aid with power window

I have a 1997 F-150 supercab and my commuter'southward side power window won't gyre downwardly. I've taken off the door panel and examined all of the connections, which seem to all exist in place. When I press the push button i hear the click that comes past the parking restriction. I've taken a await at some of the old forums but i couldn't detect any solid reason on what was causing the problem. Any idea on what else to practise or what the trouble is?
thank you

take a test light, and check for power at the window motor connector. dissconnect the motor, plow the key to the on position and press the up push on the control... check both terminals... 1 should have power, one should not. when you button downward on the command, the other should take ability and the one that had power in the up will non. some other affair to endeavor if the motor is suspected, get a battery and connect direct voltage to the motor... it should move if the motors good.

take a similar problem. I rolled down the passenger side window using the drivers side switch. went to whorl up window and it would not roll up. tried drivers side and passengers side switches. no luck. removed door panel and jumpered straight from battery the window motor and got it to go up. any suggestions? i think it might be a loose wire in the drivers side switch. or could exist a relay i gauge.

In that location are no relays. Your PW circuit is very like to the L side of this diagram.

Even the wire colors should be close.

Depends on the store, what they find, & how honest they are. Could be $twenty; could be $500.

Power window problem

Postal service by craighop »

97 F-150 supercab XLT
My problems started this weekend.
1. the drivers side window wouldn't roll down, simply the passenger side would using the driver side switch.
2. now neither window will curlicue downward using either switch. The driver's side or the passenger side.

Any assist would exist appreciated.

Thank you,

That wiring diagram shows how it works. If y'all tin't read it & do electric diagnosis, yous should pay a pro this fourth dimension. It'll probably be cheaper that throwing parts at it. But I'd suspect the driver's window switch first.

99 F150 power window drivers side

Post past speed006 »

Assistance please!
My Dads 99 F-150 driver side window stopped working. I checked the 15a fuse under the dash it'due south OK. You can hear the relay click when the button is depressed. Do I need to remove the door console and access the motor to investigate farther or is there another fuse inline that I've missed?

Whatever aid would be GREATLY appreciated!

You need to remove the door console, could be motor, wiring???

This is Ford country, and on a tranquility night you can hear a Chevy rust.
